BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) — A Pennsylvania man faces theft charges after police say he stole an Xbox video game system from a store after being turned down for a job there.
The Morning Call of Allentown reports 23-year-old Timothy Joseph Mandes is also charged with resisting arrest because he tussled with officers trying to arrest him.
Investigators say Mandes had applied for a job at a Best Buy store in Bethlehem Township. When he was turned down following a November 2 interview, police say he stuffed an Xbox down his pants and left the store.
The Morning Call report says the store manager reviewed surveillance footage and reported the theft to police. Mandes was arrested two days later.
Mandes was released on bail. A phone listing for him could not immediately be located.
